Vanecia Thompson is a Jamaican-born, emerging visual artist based in Atlanta, GA.
As a self-described “creative expressionist”, Vanecia dabbles in multiple mediums that allow her to express herself creatively including: writing, painting, drawing, photography, design and coding. She has been doing many of these things since childhood.
Her art tends to explore race, education, identity and pop culture with a focus on texture and lighting.
When she’s not creating, she is engrossed in helping create exposure and opportunity for youth through the public and non-profit sectors.
Vanecia holds an A.B.J. in Journalism and a New Media Certificate from The University of Georgia. On weekends you can find her watching college football, reading a good book or struggling through boot camp at her local gym.
